This role internally known as Program Coordinator Asset Renewal
Help shape the future of essential water and wastewater infrastructure for our growing community. As our Program Manager, you'll lead the strategic planning, coordination and delivery of critical wastewater treatment asset replacement projects that keep our services running reliably. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact by delivering infrastructure outcomes that support the Redlands community today and for generations to come.
In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of the asset renewal program across Redland City’s water and wastewater asset base. This is a leadership position within the team, where your expertise in program delivery and procurement will directly contribute to essential services that support the community every day.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while fostering a strong safety culture and positive team environment. Council will support your continued growth with training and development opportunities, including pathways to gain full industry qualifications and progress your career.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in developing and delivery of asset renewal programs and projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Skills and experience:
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery and coordination of infrastructure works.
- Experience using asset or work management systems (such as Assetic) or similar platforms.
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental requirements within a project delivery environment.
- Ability to interpret technical information and coordinate specialist advice to support informed decision-making.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with procurement and contract administration in a local government or similar infrastructure environment is desirable.

Eligibility:
- You'll hold qualifications in Project Management or possession of a related qualification from a recognised tertiary institution combined with substantial relevant municipal infrastructure and project management.
- You'll have a Current Class “C” Drivers Licence.
- You'll have a Construction Industry White Card.
- To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
