About the opportunity

This may be one of the most exciting account management roles in Sydney right now. ... Australia Post is powering the future of eCommerce, and small business is one of our most exciting growth areas. Australians spent a record $82.6 billion online in 2025, up 14% year on year, and New South Wales led the country with $26.4 billion in online spend. Thousands of growing businesses need a partner who can help them send smarter. As Account Manager, Small Business, you'll own a portfolio of around 150 accounts, mostly over the phone, driving growth, retention and new business. Success looks like retained revenue, converted leads, growing accounts and becoming a genuine eCommerce advisor your customers trust. You'll report to a Small Business Sales Manager and work alongside Solutions, Product, Pricing and Marketing teams. Based at our Redfern office in Sydney, this is a hybrid role with three days a week in the office, so you'll enjoy the energy of a team selling environment.

You'll also

Own a portfolio of around 150 accounts, driving organic growth, protecting revenue and closing contract renewals and price reviews over the phone.
Undertake business development, identifying, qualifying and closing new business across your portfolio and warm leads, with high conversion rates.
Be a trusted eCommerce advisor, sharing insights from our eCommerce Report and introducing solutions like our expanding Parcel Locker network and Rendr, our same day and on demand delivery platform now reaching almost 90% of the population.
Bring the right Australia Post specialists into the conversation to solve customer problems, then keep everything sharp in Salesforce.

About you

You're a natural over the phone, confident, curious and energised by the buzz of a sales team. You build rapport quickly, listen well and turn everyday conversations into growth opportunities. You're organised, self-motivated and adaptable, comfortable juggling a large portfolio, warm leads and business development targets in a fast-moving environment. You're commercially minded and genuinely interested in eCommerce, so you love helping small businesses grow and sharing insights that make a real difference. You'll thrive on hitting targets, learning fast and being the person your customers rely on.

You'll also

Bring a track record in phone-based B2B or B2C sales and account management, meeting and exceeding sales targets across a portfolio.
Be confident with the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying through to negotiating and closing, ideally with accredited sales training or methodology.
Bring commercial and eCommerce curiosity, with the ability to self-source market insights and turn performance data into conversations that grow accounts.
