Part of the Robert Plumb Collective, and newly merged with Captive Cabinetmaking, Cranbrook Workshop is in a growth phase with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects. Cranbrook Workshop specialises in custom joinery and cabinetry, balancing modern carpentry technologies with care and craft. We provide all types of joinery from simple solutions to more highly articulated interior designer led treatments.

The position is full-time and located in our workshop in Botany.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cabinet Maker / Joiner with a passion for quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. You will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling high-quality custom joinery and cabinetry, ensuring all work is completed to specification, on time, and to the highest standards.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to the delivery of premium architectural joinery projects while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture and assemble custom cabinetry and joinery products.
Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements.
Assist with the installation and fitting of joinery as required.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure quality outcomes.
Handle materials and components with care to minimise waste and damage.
Support apprentices and contribute to a positive team culture.

Skills & experience

Trade qualified Cabinet Maker or Joiner.
Previous experience in cabinet making, shopfitting, or architectural joinery.
Strong knowledge of joinery materials, methods, tools, and machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional results.
