Kick It Out (KIO) is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development & Program Coordinator to lead the growth and delivery of innovative employment, diversionary and community-based programs throughout Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in employment services, training, youth engagement, disability services or community program development who thrives on building partnerships and creating meaningful outcomes for disadvantaged and hard-to-reach communities.

About the Role

As the QLD Business Development & Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in:

Developing and coordinating employment, diversionary and community programs across Queensland
Building relationships with Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services, Transition to Work providers and community organisations
Driving business development and securing new program opportunities
Coordinating training delivery, participant support and operational requirements
Identifying funding opportunities, grants and partnerships
Supporting participants from diverse backgrounds including Indigenous, multicultural, disability and at-risk cohorts

This is a dynamic role combining business development, stakeholder engagement, program coordination and participant support. Working throughout Queensland from a designated base to be negotiated with the successful candidate, you will be a proven community connector, not afraid to overcome geographical barriers in order to provide opportunities for community.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Coordination

Develop and coordinate programs tailored to client and participant needs
Coordinate training delivery, venues, trainers, contractors and resources
Ensure programs are delivered professionally, efficiently and within budget
Monitor program performance and ensure KPIs and targets are achieved

Business Development & Partnerships

Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and stakeholders
Generate new business opportunities through networking, outreach and partnership development
Source and secure funding opportunities including grants and commercial partnerships
Promote KIO programs and services across Queensland

Participant Support

Provide ongoing support and communication to participants and students
Assist participants to achieve successful outcomes
Liaise with employment service providers to ensure appropriate supports are in place

Administration & Compliance

Oversee program administration and reporting requirements
Ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are completed accurately
Prepare reports relating to sales performance, budgets and program delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Experience & Skills

Minimum 3–5 years experience within Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services or similar employment/community services sectors
Strong business development, sales or stakeholder engagement experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and relationship-building abilities
Experience coordinating programs, training or community initiatives
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems

Desirable Qualifications

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110 or equivalent) – desirable
Current Senior First Aid Certificate
Current Blue Card (essential)
Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
