About Us:

Benny's Espresso is a modern café situated in the vibrant Coolum Beach community, known for its dedication to high-quality, seasonal dishes and a distinct coffee experience. We focus on delivering exceptional hospitality, with simplicity and comfort at the heart of everything we do.

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated chef to join our team. This role is ideal for a chef ready to take the next step in their career, with a focus on supporting the kitchen team, maintaining food quality, and contributing to menu development. You will work alongside our head chef to ensure a smooth, efficient kitchen operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Service: Assist in preparing meals, ensuring they are served on time and in line with Benny's high standards of quality and consistency.
Kitchen Team Support: Work closely with the kitchen team, taking a lead role when required to ensure safe and efficient work practices. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Stock & Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory and ordering, ensuring minimal wastage and that stock is stored appropriately.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
Collaboration: Contribute to menu updates and seasonal changes in collaboration with the head chef, while helping maintain consistency in food offerings.

What We Are Looking For:

Proven experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, ideally in a café or restaurant setting.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to handle pressure during busy periods.
Passion for delivering high-quality meals and attention to detail in presentation and taste.
A collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a desire for continuous learning and growth.
Ability to support menu development, stock management, and assist in maintaining kitchen efficiency.
Enthusiastic about food quality, consistency, and contributing to a positive work culture.
