At Everhard Industries, we're looking for an experienced Accountant who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial thinking. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial operations while helping improve the systems, processes and insights that drive business performance.

What you'll be doing

You'll have ownership across a broad range of financial accounting responsibilities, including:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Preparing monthly management accounts, journals and reconciliations across multiple entities.
Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting accurate financial reporting.
Managing costing activities including standard cost roll-ups, landed cost allocation, absorption costing and inventory reconciliations.
Monitoring fixed assets, foreign currency transactions and cash flow forecasting.
Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and systems.

Tax & Compliance

Preparing BAS, FBT and other ATO reporting obligations.
Assisting with payroll tax reconciliations, corporate income tax calculations and statutory compliance.
Supporting strong financial governance and internal controls.

Business Support

Maintaining accurate financial records and Standard Operating Procedures.
Supporting projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance team.
Working closely with stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insights that support better business decisions.

About You

You'll be a technically strong accountant who enjoys taking ownership and continually looking for better ways of working.

Ideally, you'll bring:

CA, CPA or CIMA qualification.
Demonstrated post-qualification experience in a Financial Accounting role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, statutory accounting, taxation and compliance.
Experience in manufacturing and/or product costing (highly regarded).
NetSuite experience (preferred).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with strong commercial acumen.
Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
The ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
