Assistant Advisor Licensing

Clerk Grade: 5/6

Employment type: Ongoing, full time – 35 hours / week
Location: Gosford or Sydney

An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Advisor Licensing to join the Licensing and Approvals team within the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).

In this role you will support the delivery of licensing, registration and approval activities that underpin SIRA's regulatory functions across the NSW Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Home Building Compensation (HBC) schemes. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will assist in administering regulatory processes, provide quality customer service and help ensure decisions are efficient, consistent and compliant with legislative requirements.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, with attendance in a SIRA office required.

About the team:
The Licensing and Approvals team plays a key role in supporting SIRA's regulatory functions by administering licensing, approval and registration processes across a range of schemes and service provider frameworks. The team works closely with applicants, service providers and stakeholders to assess applications, maintain records, provide advice and ensure approvals are managed in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and standards.

In this role you will:

Review and process applications, renewals, registrations and related documentation, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
Prepare correspondence and approval documentation to support regulatory decisions.
Respond to enquiries from applicants, service providers and stakeholders, providing clear and timely advice.
Maintain accurate records and information using record-keeping systems and databases, including TRIM and Salesforce.
Monitor shared inboxes and workflows to ensure applications and enquiries are managed within required timeframes.
Contribute to process improvements and updates to procedures and documentation.
Support regulatory outcomes by following relevant legislation, policies, procedures and service standards.

About You:
You are highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with experience in administrative, licensing or regulatory environments. You enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, can effectively manage competing priorities, and are committed to delivering high-quality customer service while ensuring compliance, accuracy and consistency in your work.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Experience in administration, licensing, approvals or regulatory environments.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality service.
Experience in the NSW Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Home Building Compensation (HBC) schemes, is highly regarded.
Experience processing applications for stakeholders including Workplace Rehabilitation Providers (WRPs), Health Practitioners Authorised to Give Evidence (HPAs), Independent Medical Consultants (IMCs), Permanent Impairment Assessors (PIAs), Allied Health Practitioners (AHPs) and Hearing Service Providers (HSPs), is highly regarded.
Proficient in technologies including TRIM, Salesforce, the Microsoft Office Suite and specialised database systems.
