EVENT SUPERVISOR – EVENTS & CATERING

We’re looking for an experienced Event Supervisor to join our team!

We are seeking a confident, hands-on and highly organised Event Supervisor to help coordinate, set up and run events from start to finish.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the events industry and knows what it takes to deliver a successful event. You will work closely with the Owner/Operator to ensure every event is well organised, professionally delivered and exceeds our clients’ expectations.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this position, you MUST have:

Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the events industry
Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising or managing events
Strong knowledge of event operations and event service
Experience managing and coordinating event staff
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure
A professional presentation and positive attitude
The ability to confidently take responsibility and make decisions on the day
A hands-on approach — you’re not afraid to get involved and make things happen

Your Responsibilities

Complete a full handover with the Owner/Operator prior to each event, ensuring you understand the event schedule, client requirements, staffing, service details and any special instructions
Work closely alongside the Owner/Operator throughout the event to ensure the highest level of service is provided
Assist with the set-up and pack-down of events
Supervise and coordinate event staff
Oversee the smooth running of events from start to finish
Ensure event timelines and schedules are followed
Liaise with clients, venues, suppliers and staff
Monitor service standards and presentation
Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
Ensure staff are working efficiently and professionally
Assist the Owner/Operator in delivering a seamless and professional experience for our clients and their guests

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ

This position requires genuine event industry experience.

Applicants without a background in events will not be considered. We are specifically looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years’ event industry experience and at least 2 years’ experience supervising events.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, confident and understands that successful events come down to teamwork, preparation, communication and attention to detail.
