EVENT SUPERVISOR – EVENTS & CATERING
We’re looking for an experienced Event Supervisor to join our team!
We are seeking a confident, hands-on and highly organised Event Supervisor to help coordinate, set up and run events from start to finish.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the events industry and knows what it takes to deliver a successful event. You will work closely with the Owner/Operator to ensure every event is well organised, professionally delivered and exceeds our clients’ expectations.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this position, you MUST have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the events industry
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising or managing events
- Strong knowledge of event operations and event service
- Experience managing and coordinating event staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure
- A professional presentation and positive attitude
- The ability to confidently take responsibility and make decisions on the day
- A hands-on approach — you’re not afraid to get involved and make things happen
Your Responsibilities
- Complete a full handover with the Owner/Operator prior to each event, ensuring you understand the event schedule, client requirements, staffing, service details and any special instructions
- Work closely alongside the Owner/Operator throughout the event to ensure the highest level of service is provided
- Assist with the set-up and pack-down of events
- Supervise and coordinate event staff
- Oversee the smooth running of events from start to finish
- Ensure event timelines and schedules are followed
- Liaise with clients, venues, suppliers and staff
- Monitor service standards and presentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Ensure staff are working efficiently and professionally
- Assist the Owner/Operator in delivering a seamless and professional experience for our clients and their guests
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
This position requires genuine event industry experience.
Applicants without a background in events will not be considered. We are specifically looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years’ event industry experience and at least 2 years’ experience supervising events.
