Full Job Description

Bird's Nest Restaurant is the first Binchoutan Yakitori restaurant of its kind in Australia. We are the first to bring this authentic type of cuisine to Australia. We have 4 restaurants around Brisbane and are looking for a restaurant and bar manager for our PORTSIDE WHARF HAMILTON BRANCH.

We require someone with over 3 years experience in managing high-volume, fast-paced hospitality venues. Japanese cuisine and sake knowledge are strongly desired.

The successful candidate will be passionate and have great knowledge about food and beverage service and management of a front-of-house team.

You would work in a full-time role, and with our outlets open seven days, you need to be available 7 days a week.

We are truly passionate about great food, and service and if you are too then this job is for YOU!!! We are looking for someone who has interest and experience in leading a team, and with stock management and control experience.

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

Manage day-to-day restaurant and bar operations, including staffing, inventory, and financial management
Maintain high standards of customer service and lead your team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
Manage beverage stock, including ordering, receiving, and stocktaking.
Process payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
Balance and account for daily takings and floats.
Control food, beverage, labor, and operating costs to maximize profit
Complete daily revenue and wage cost reports
Coordinate and communicate effectively with the kitchen regarding food service and monitor food quality.
Learn and mix all cocktails as per Bird’s Nest Standards.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing training and guidance
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback
Create and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth and profitability
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Occupational Health and Safety laws, RSA guidelines, and liquor licensing laws.
Assist in coordinating marketing and promotional activities for the venue.
Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
Assist in managing and troubleshooting POS systems, reservation systems, and other technology used in the venue.

Pay: $80,000.00 per year plus superannuation
