Full Job Description

Panorama Retreat & Resort is seeking a passionate and reliable Casual Cook / Chef to join our kitchen team on a flexible, as-needed basis. You'll be an integral part of delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, from breakfasts through to evening service in a beautiful retreat setting. Whether you're available for weekend rushes, holiday periods, or covering busy seasons, this role offers rewarding work with a team that takes real pride in quality cuisine.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and plate dishes to resort standards across all service periods
Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
Assist senior chefs with prep, mise en place and service flow
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
Adapt to daily specials and seasonal menu changes
Support the team during high-volume service periods

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (resort or hotel preferred)
Relevant hospitality or culinary qualification (desirable)
Current Food Handler / Food Safety certificate
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
Passion for quality food and genuine hospitality
