Panorama Retreat & Resort is seeking a passionate and reliable Casual Cook / Chef to join our kitchen team on a flexible, as-needed basis. You'll be an integral part of delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, from breakfasts through to evening service in a beautiful retreat setting. Whether you're available for weekend rushes, holiday periods, or covering busy seasons, this role offers rewarding work with a team that takes real pride in quality cuisine.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and plate dishes to resort standards across all service periods
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
- Assist senior chefs with prep, mise en place and service flow
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
- Adapt to daily specials and seasonal menu changes
- Support the team during high-volume service periods
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (resort or hotel preferred)
- Relevant hospitality or culinary qualification (desirable)
- Current Food Handler / Food Safety certificate
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Passion for quality food and genuine hospitality
