Fat chef is seeking a talented Chef de Partie / Casual Kitchen Hand to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Forest Hill, VIC, and offers an exciting opportunity to work within a prestigious hospitality environment. As Chef de Partie or Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cuisine and food preparation that define our establishment. This position is integral to our kitchen operations, supporting the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items to the required standard, following established recipes and plating guidelines
- Maintain and organise workstations, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are readily available
- Assist with stock rotation, food storage and inventory management
- Support senior chefs in the preparation of mise en place for service
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and sanitation protocols
- Contribute to the efficient running of the kitchen during service periods
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef or senior kitchen staff
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas to the highest standards
- Support the team in achieving daily operational targets and service schedules
Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
