Our Practice:
Macquarie Animal Hospital, a reputable veterinary clinic in South Hobart, has been providing exceptional care to pets and their families since 2001. As a family-oriented practice made up of two experienced vets, we place great importance on building lasting relationships with our clients while fostering a welcoming, supportive environment for our pets, their owners, and our staff. We are proud to be a trusted part of the South Hobart community and are looking to expand our team with a dedicated, experienced, and dynamic Veterinary Nurse.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a part-time or casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly professional nurse with a strong work ethic, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care in a premium clinic environment.

As part of the team at Macquarie Animal Hospital, you will work closely alongside our veterinarians across surgery, hospital and reception, contributing to a supportive and high-performing team culture where no two days are the same. This role is ideally suited to someone looking to further develop their career long term, with future opportunities to step into a leadership position for the right candidate.

What we’re looking for:

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential).
Previous experience as a Veterinary Nurse, with strong knowledge of veterinary nursing procedures and patient care standards.
Experience with EzyVet is highly regarded, though not essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to contribute positively within a collaborative, high-performing team.
Ability to remain composed and organised in a fast-paced, high-standard clinical environment.
A compassionate and patient-focused approach, with a genuine commitment to advocating for the highest standard of care.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
High attention to detail, strong professional pride, and a commitment to continuous growth and excellence within the practice.
