Full Job Description

Capital Tiles & Flooring is looking for a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Mitchell.

This is an entry-level, hands-on position suitable for someone who is willing to learn, takes pride in keeping their workplace clean and organised, and enjoys working as part of a team.

You will work closely with our Warehouse Manager and Showroom Team, helping with day-to-day warehouse operations, stock handling, showroom support and general workplace organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations.
Loading and unloading tiles, flooring, carpet and other building products.
Moving and organising stock within the warehouse.
Preparing customer and job orders for collection or delivery.
Assisting with stock counts and maintaining accurate stock locations.
Keeping warehouse aisles, storage areas and loading areas clean and organised.
Assisting with deliveries and collections when required.
Safely handling heavy and bulky products.
Following workplace health and safety procedures.
Reporting damaged products, stock issues or safety hazards to the Warehouse Manager.

Cleaning & Workplace Presentation

Daily cleaning and general upkeep of the warehouse.
Maintaining cleanliness of the showroom, including floors, displays and common areas.
Cleaning and maintaining staff areas, kitchen and lunchroom.
Cleaning and maintaining restrooms.
Emptying bins and managing general workplace waste.
Keeping the workplace presentable and organised throughout the day.
Assisting with showroom displays and general presentation when required.

Showroom Support

Assist the showroom team with moving samples, tiles, flooring and displays.
Help customers with loading and collection of products when required.
Keep product samples and display areas organised.
Assist with showroom setup and changes.
Help the sales team with general non-sales tasks.

Other Duties

As an entry-level team member, you will be expected to assist with general duties across the business when required, including:

Basic stock and product labelling.
Packaging and preparing products.
General maintenance and tidying.
Assisting with stocktake.
Helping with showroom events and promotional activities.
Assisting other team members during busy periods.
Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager or management.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Good attention to cleanliness and organisation.
Able to follow instructions.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Basic understanding of workplace safety.

Experience is NOT essential.
This is an entry-level opportunity, and training will be provided to the right person.
