Capital Tiles & Flooring is looking for a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Mitchell.
This is an entry-level, hands-on position suitable for someone who is willing to learn, takes pride in keeping their workplace clean and organised, and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will work closely with our Warehouse Manager and Showroom Team, helping with day-to-day warehouse operations, stock handling, showroom support and general workplace organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Duties
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations.
- Loading and unloading tiles, flooring, carpet and other building products.
- Moving and organising stock within the warehouse.
- Preparing customer and job orders for collection or delivery.
- Assisting with stock counts and maintaining accurate stock locations.
- Keeping warehouse aisles, storage areas and loading areas clean and organised.
- Assisting with deliveries and collections when required.
- Safely handling heavy and bulky products.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures.
- Reporting damaged products, stock issues or safety hazards to the Warehouse Manager.
Cleaning & Workplace Presentation
- Daily cleaning and general upkeep of the warehouse.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the showroom, including floors, displays and common areas.
- Cleaning and maintaining staff areas, kitchen and lunchroom.
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms.
- Emptying bins and managing general workplace waste.
- Keeping the workplace presentable and organised throughout the day.
- Assisting with showroom displays and general presentation when required.
Showroom Support
- Assist the showroom team with moving samples, tiles, flooring and displays.
- Help customers with loading and collection of products when required.
- Keep product samples and display areas organised.
- Assist with showroom setup and changes.
- Help the sales team with general non-sales tasks.
Other Duties
As an entry-level team member, you will be expected to assist with general duties across the business when required, including:
- Basic stock and product labelling.
- Packaging and preparing products.
- General maintenance and tidying.
- Assisting with stocktake.
- Helping with showroom events and promotional activities.
- Assisting other team members during busy periods.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager or management.
