Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142665 + super.

The role

This Senior Internal Communications Advisor sits at the centre of a team that is shaping how internal communications connects people across the Department. You’ll help design, draft and deliver clear, engaging internal communications that supports significant strategic projects and major change programs, as well as help build a stronger sense of connection and engagement across the Department.

Working closely with senior leaders, including one of our Deputy Secretaries and other business stakeholders, you’ll juggle competing priorities and different perspectives while keeping communication engaging, accessible, clear and consistent. From developing integrated communications plans and messaging, to delivering campaigns and events, you’ll play a hands-on role and know how to use analytics to make sure communication lands well and supports organisational priorities.

You’re confident working with and advising senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships across the business.
You’re a strong writer who can adapt your style across different formats, from leadership messaging to digital content.
You enjoy collaborating with designers, event teams and videographers to bring ideas to life.
You’ve led work end to end, from shaping strategy through to delivery.

You bring a practical mindset and know how to turn plans into clear, engaging communication for our people.
You are an experienced people leader or ready coach and grow others in a leadership role.

What is an essential requirement:

Tertiary qualifications in communications or other related discipline and/or relevant equivalent experience.
