RGIS is a leading provider of stocktaking services in Australia and around the globe. We are currently seeking committed and energetic individuals to join our casual stocktake team in the North and West Suburbs of Melbourne. We offer flexible and varied shifts according to your flexibility.

As an RGIS team member, you will be stocktaking a wide variety of retail outlets across Melbourne's North and West Suburbs. Full training will be provided, and you do not need to have previous stocktaking experience. Every day is a different and exciting experience with RGIS!

What we are looking for:

Due to the nature of retail stocktaking, you must be okay with a casual work schedule and working mornings and nights
Staff who recognise that work schedules are flexible and can vary from one shift a week to multiple shifts a week
Must be able to reliably make own way to shifts
It is a requirement of this position to be able to work in liquor stores, and therefore candidates be at least 18 years of age
Exceptional attention to detail
An enthusiastic team player with a desire to provide excellent customer service
Realise that stocktaking can be a physically demanding role
Have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and count stock safely while using a ladder, can sometimes involve heavy lifting (5-10kgs), squatting and bending. This will be done using the RGIS handheld terminal
Must be willing to occasionally work in warehouse environments or cool rooms (for short periods)

Please note most stocktakes run for between 4 to 6 hours; however, this varies depending on the client.

Shifts generally take place outside normal trading hours (early mornings or evenings), as stocktakes occur while stores are closed to customers.

You will work at different stores each shift, providing variety and exposure to multiple environments. Some shifts may include regional travel and occasional overnight stays with accommodation provided.

This is a hands-on, active, and fast-paced role suited to people who enjoy teamwork, variety and working in changing environments.

Job interviews will be conducted at the head office in Surrey Hills.

In accordance with the Miscellaneous Award Junior rates apply at RGIS for employees under the age of 21. These rates are set by Fair Work and automatically applies to successful applicants aged 18–20.

You’ve just joined an RGIS stocktake team and notice a count process the team is using could be faster and more accurate. Your Team leader invites feedback, suggestions, and avenues for improvements. Which of the following best describes how you would respond?

A. I’d test my ideas on my own during the next stocktake and only share results later.

B. I’d draft a brief proposal outlining my suggestions, share it with my team leader and teammates for feedback, and offer to run a small trial so everyone can learn and decide together.

C. I’d stick with the current process since it’s already approved.

D. I’d point out flaws in the existing process and push to adopt my method to eliminate inefficiencies.

Question 2:

You are completing a stocktake of wine bottles. There are three types of wine:

Rosé – Full box contains 9 bottles

Shiraz – Full box contains 6 bottles,

Merlot – Full box contains 7 bottles.

The stock on the shelf includes:

Shiraz: 8 full boxes, 1 box with 2 bottles, and 5 loose bottles

Rosé: 5 full boxes, 1 box with 3 bottles, and 2 loose bottles

Merlot: 6 full boxes, 1 box with 4 bottles, and 6 loose bottles
