HR Administration Officer

Docklands, Australia

Join a collaborative HR team where you'll gain broad exposure across the employee lifecycle while making a meaningful contribution to community health outcomes. Grow your HR career supporting recruitment, onboarding, HR systems and employee experience.
Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Maximum Term until 15 January 2027.
Remuneration: Band 2 - $66,719.06 - $75,891.73 + 12% superannuation
Generous NFP salary packaging options up to $18,550
Location - 737 Bourke Street, Docklands Victoria 3008, Close to Southern Cross Train Station, Onsite or Hybrid; WFH (2-3 days)

About the role

Are you looking to build your career in Human Resources or take the next step in your HR journey? As our HR Administration Officer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional people services that support a positive employee experience across NWMPHN.

This is a varied hands-on role where you will gain exposure to the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to HR systems, reporting and other employee matters.

Working closely with a small and collaborative HR team, you'll help ensure our HR operations run smoothly, compliantly and efficiently while contributing to initiatives that improve processes, systems and service delivery.

This role is highly suitable for an early career professional eager to establish a career in HR. You will have a unique opportunity to develop your skills, work with HR systems and make a meaningful contribution to an organisation committed to improving health outcomes in our community.

We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) - Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in Melbourne's northern, western suburbs and inner-city areas. What will my typical week look like?

Coordinating recruitment activities, including advertising roles, scheduling interviews, conducting pre-employment checks and preparing employment offers and contracts.
Supporting new starters through onboarding and induction activities, maintain employee records and documentation, and ensure HR data remains accurate, compliant and up to date.
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity across the employee lifecycle.
Managing the HR inbox, respond to employee and candidate enquiries, and provide timely administrative support across a range of HR matters.
Preparing HR reports, workforce data and documentation to support informed decision-making and compliance requirements.
Collaborating with employees and stakeholders across the organisation, while providing broader administrative support including event coordination, catering arrangements and other operational activities as required.

What you will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Business/Psychology/Human Resource Management or progression towards a relevant qualification (desirable) and/or equivalent experience in a similar HR generalist support role.
Strong HR administration and organisational skills, including coordinating recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities, while confidently managing a busy HR inbox and competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees, candidates and other stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail, with experience maintaining accurate records, handling confidential information and ensuring high levels of data integrity.
