The Opportunity

Ready to bring your organisational superpowers to a fast-paced, high-performing legal team? We’re looking for an enthusiastic, polished, and professional Legal Assistant to join our Digital Legal Delivery team in Melbourne.

Flexibility: Work from home 1–2 days per week (depending on team and partner needs)

You’ll be the go-to person supporting Partner Emily Coghlan and other senior members of the Digital team. If you enjoy taking ownership, being the central point of support, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy legal environment, this role is made for you!

What your day might look like

Schedule and coordinate meetings and manage changes proactively.
Organise domestic and international travel and reconcile expenses promptly.
Draft, format and manage legal documents using Microsoft Office and iManage.
Open, maintain and close matters, ensuring accurate time entries and billing.
Act as the first point of contact for client queries and support strong client relationships.
Assist with business development initiatives and client events.
Coordinate team social events and activities to support team engagement and culture.
Collaborate with Legal Assistants across practice groups on joint matters.
Mentor and guide Administrative Assistants to support team efficiency.
Champion technology and AI adoption to improve processes and stay innovative.
Maintain compliance with firm policies, including file management and risk protocols.

Experience in a legal support position
Exposure to billing, invoicing and reporting
Strong time management and ability to juggle priorities
Experience with matter management and mentoring juniors
A positive, proactive approach and calm under pressure
Passion for helping your team grow client relationships
