About Us

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.

About People Services

People Services provide core human resources functions ensuring Courts Group has productive work systems and modern workplaces. People Services design and implement programs that support work performance and the health, safety, and wellbeing of judicial officers, members, and employees.

Key functions include Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Workplace Relations, People Advisory Services, Talent Acquisition, HR Partnering, Leadership, Capability Development and Strategy, Judicial, Member and Executive Services, Payroll, Systems & Reporting. The Chief People Officer leads the function and is part of the CSV executive.

About the Role

Court Services Victoria (CSV) is seeking a highly skilled human resources specialist to join our People Services team on a part-time (0.6) basis for six months. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and meaningful employee relations matters while contributing to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

As the Workplace Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting Court Services Victoria's commitment to maintaining a collaborative, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Working closely with Principal Workplace Relations Specialists, managers, and stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation while delivering practical and strategic solutions.

You will partner with leaders and People Partners to navigate challenging workplace issues, including performance management, misconduct, grievances, conflict resolution, incapacity, support organisational change initiatives, and represent CSV in industrial relations matters if required.

About You

You are a confident workplace relations professional with exceptional judgement and the ability to manage complex and sensitive employee matters.

You will bring:

Demonstrated experience in workplace and employee relations within a complex organisational environment.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation.
Experience managing complex workplace investigations and sensitive employee matters.
Proven ability to provide strategic advice to senior leaders on workplace relations issues.
Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
A collaborative approach and commitment to fostering respectful, positive workplace cultures.
