What you will be doing

Reporting to the Director, Communication, you'll take the lead on how we use social media to connect with Victorians.

In this role, you will:

lead the VEC social media strategy, from tone and content to platform choice
create engaging content, including video and multimedia, that translates complex electoral information for a diverse audience
lead and support a small team to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to deliver timely, accessible and impactful communications that help Victorian participate in their democracy.

What you will bring to the role

Demonstrated experience leading social media for an organisation, including strategy, content and channel management.
A strong understanding of digital audiences, what captures attention, builds trust and drives engagement.
Confidence creating or guiding high-quality content, including video and multimedia.
Experience leading or mentoring others to deliver great outcomes.
A qualification in communications, media, marketing or a related field is desirable.
Commitment to the VEC's core values.
