About the role:

Ward 9B is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and capable Registered Nurse/s to join our team. Ward 9B is a 32 bed Orthopaedic, Ortho Geriatric Service, Neurosurgery & Pain Medicine ward.

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality nursing care, while working closely with our multidisciplinary team, to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients. If you value positive patient experiences and thrive in a team environment, then this could be the position for you.

Key responsibilities:

Work collaboratively within the nursing team model of care using delegation, supervision, coordination, consultation and referrals
Take accountability for your own actions and others under direction
Role model behaviour consistent with the professional Code of Conduct and organisational values
Participate in ongoing learning opportunities
Support new staff through orientation buddy role or formal preceptorship
Using evidence-based practice and being familiar with local and organisational policies, procedures and guidelines
Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for care delivered
Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families
Effectively and constantly maintain communication and engagement with the NUM

About you:

Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing
Registration with AHPRA and NMBA
Minimum 2-3 years Orthopeadic surgical experience within an Australian hospital setting (not including placements)
Demonstrate the ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
A commitment to high quality and ongoing to maintain a culture of patient centred care.
Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work a rotating roster
Possess excellent clinical skills
