Full Job Description

Onsite Auto Pty Ltd is looking for a motivated Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Mechanic to join our growing team.

Based in our heavy vehicle workshop, you'll work alongside experienced diesel mechanics while gaining hands-on experience servicing and repairing a wide range of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry.

About the Role

As an apprentice, you will assist with:

Servicing and maintaining heavy vehicles and trailers.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
Brake, suspension, steering and driveline repairs.
Engine and transmission repairs.
Breakdown repairs and workshop maintenance.
Learning safe workshop practices and industry standards.
Keeping the workshop clean and organised.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A genuine interest in heavy vehicles and the automotive industry.
Current 1st or 2nd Year Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship (or willingness to commence a 1st Year apprenticeship).
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Ability to work well in a team.
Good communication skills.
A current driver's licence (preferred).
