About the Role

We are excited to offer an enthusiastic and motivated individual the opportunity to begin or continue their career in early childhood education.

As a Trainee Educator, you will work alongside experienced and qualified educators who will support, guide, and mentor you throughout your traineeship while you complete your studies towards a:

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

You will gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment for children.

Essential Requirements:

Applicants must have:

Willingness to enrol in and study towards successful progression to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
A current and valid NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certification or willingness to obtain
Current Child Protection training and Child Safety training or willingness to obtain
Current Basic Food Handlers training or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment

Child Safety & Pre-employment Checks

Dee Why Kindergarten is committed to rigorous recruitment, screening, and selection practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in comprehensive pre-employment screening, including:

Verification of Working With Children Check status
Reference checks that specifically address suitability to work with children
Relevant child protection and employment history checks
NQA ITS prohibition notice checks
Additional background screening where required under legislation or organisational policy

All employees are expected to actively contribute to a culture of child safety and participate in ongoing child protection and child-safe practice training.

Any offer of employment is conditional upon satisfactory child-safe screening and compliance documentation.
