Build partnerships that create lasting growth

We’re looking for an experienced Partner Ecosystem Manager to help grow and strengthen Sage’s partner network across the APAC region.

This is a high-impact role for someone who understands what makes a successful partner relationship, from identifying and recruiting the right organisations through to onboarding, enablement and long-term engagement. You’ll work closely with Partner Sales, Marketing and other teams across Sage to attract new Value-Added Reseller and Referral partners, helping them build a strong foundation for success within our ecosystem.

You’ll be comfortable navigating the commercial side of partnerships, building compelling business cases and clearly communicating the value of joining the Sage partner programme. Just as importantly, you’ll know how to keep partners engaged, supported and moving towards their first successful sale.

This is a hybrid position with three days per week in our Sydney office

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

Leading the recruitment of new Value-Added Reseller and Referral partners across the APAC region.

Building a strong understanding of market trends, partner business models and the factors influencing expansion across ERP and related sectors.

Working with Partner Sales to identify, qualify and progress prospective partners who align with Sage’s strategic growth objectives.

Helping prospective partners understand the Sage partner programme, including its benefits, annual fees, rules of engagement and the commitments required from both sides.

Developing commercially compelling business cases that demonstrate the value and potential return on investment of partnering with Sage.

Guiding prospective partners through the recruitment and onboarding journey, maintaining momentum and ensuring a positive experience at every stage.

Managing accurate records of partner conversations, progress and status updates.

Coordinating the enablement of newly acquired partners, giving them the knowledge, tools and support needed to succeed in the Sage ecosystem.

Collaborating with Partner Sales to accelerate early partner performance and support first-year sales objectives.

Working with Marketing and Sales to deliver a structured partner engagement programme, including webinars, networking events, newsletters, enablement initiatives and Quarterly Business Reviews.

Managing partner programme requirements and supporting continued compliance with commercial, regulatory and programme obligations.

Building trusted relationships with internal teams across Partner Sales, Partner Marketing, Finance, Enablement, Legal, Support and Services.

What we’re looking for
You’ll bring:

At least four years’ experience in an ecosystem expansion or partner development role, with a strong focus on VAR acquisition.

A clear understanding of partner economics and experience building persuasive, ROI-focused business cases.

Practical experience designing or delivering structured VAR recruitment and onboarding programmes.

Experience executing partner engagement strategies within a fast-moving and evolving ecosystem.

The ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders, supported by strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

A proactive, self-starting approach, with the confidence to take ownership and move opportunities forward.

Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

It would be great if you also have

Experience recruiting, onboarding or managing channel partners within ERP, accounting, financial technology or business software.

An established network within the ERP, finance or accounting sectors.

Experience working with accounting, finance or ERP-related applications.

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field.

A positive end-customer experience, measured through Customer NPS.
