Positions Available:

Chefs – from Chef de Partie (CDP) to Commis Chef
Cooks

Salary Range: $76,600 – $85,000 (commensurate with experience and position)

About Us

Miss Chow’s Estate in Margaret River is a stunning 200-seat venue offering an innovative Asian-fusion menu, complemented by a carefully curated wine list and exceptional cocktails. We are part of the Miss Chow’s Group, known for delivering high-quality dining experiences across WA.

We are now seeking qualified and experienced Chefs and Cooks to join our growing back-of-house team in this exciting location.

Chef Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality dishes following Asian-fusion and Western styles

Oversee sections of the kitchen (CDP or higher), ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation

Assist in developing new menu items and signature dishes with the Head Chef

Supervise and train junior kitchen staff including cooks and kitchen hands

Monitor quality of raw and cooked ingredients, ensuring standards are met

Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP) and health regulations

Participate in stock control, ordering, and kitchen cost control

Attend meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of kitchen operations

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen (preferably in a senior role)

AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

Strong understanding of Southeast Asian and Western cuisine

Proven ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment

Passion for food presentation and culinary creativity

Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff

Cook Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items following standard recipes

Present food in an attractive and consistent manner

Assist chefs with food preparation and basic mise en place

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food storage and handling

Rotate stock and manage FIFO practices in the kitchen

Follow all food safety and workplace health protocols

Assist in training kitchen hands as needed

Support smooth kitchen operations in collaboration with chefs

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen

AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

Knowledge of basic food handling and HACCP principles

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Interest in developing culinary skills and learning from senior chefs
