Treatment Coordinator / Dental Receptionist – Blaxland Dental

Blaxland Dental is looking for a warm, organised and motivated Treatment Coordinator / Dental Receptionist to join our growing team.

We are a well-established dental practice in the beautiful Blue Mountains, with a strong focus on patient care, communication, professionalism and creating an exceptional patient experience from the very first phone call.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent communication skills and wants to be part of a practice that is growing, improving and aiming to provide the highest standard of dental care.

About the role

You will be an important part of the patient journey, helping patients feel welcomed, informed and supported. The role includes both front office duties and treatment coordination responsibilities.

Your duties will include:

Welcoming patients and creating a positive first impression
Answering phone calls, emails and patient enquiries professionally
Managing appointments and the appointment book
Following up new patient enquiries and treatment plans
Helping patients understand their treatment options and next steps
Coordinating finance/payment options where required
Supporting recalls, reactivation and patient follow-up systems
Taking payments and processing health fund claims
Working closely with dentists, dental assistants and management
Helping maintain a smooth and organised front office

About you

A great communicator in person and over the phone
Comfortable speaking with patients about appointments, treatment and fees
Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
Able to work well in a team environment
Calm under pressure and able to multitask
Passionate about providing excellent patient care

Dental experience is highly regarded, especially experience in reception, treatment coordination or dental administration. However, the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn are just as important.
