About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and creative
Graduate Graphic Designer to join our in-house design studio on a 12-month contract. Working within a large university environment, you will support a wide range of graphic design and visual communication projects for both brand-led initiatives and internal stakeholders across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or emerging designer to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative studio environment while developing practical skills across print, digital, and campaign design.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the development and production of creative design solutions across print and digital platforms.
- Support the design studio in delivering university brand campaigns, marketing collateral, publications, social media assets, presentations, signage, and event materials.
- Apply and maintain university brand guidelines across all design outputs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret briefs and deliver creative outcomes that meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Prepare artwork files for print and digital production.
- Contribute ideas and creative input during concept development.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects within agreed timelines.
- Support studio workflow, file management, and asset organisation.
- Assist with photography selection, image editing, and basic motion graphics or animation where required.
Who we are looking for/Selection Criteria:
- Recent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong typography, layout, and visual communication skills.
- Understanding of print production and digital design requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Portfolio demonstrating creative and technically competent design work.
Desirable
- Experience with motion graphics or animation software.
- Understanding of social media and digital content formats.
Role Requirements:
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
