Cannabis Doctors Tasmania is seeking an experienced doctor to join our growing team.
This is a fully remote opportunity offering genuine flexibility, strong clinical support, and the ability to provide meaningful care to patients with chronic and complex health conditions from the comfort of your own home.

What You Can Expect
- Work entirely from home
- Flexible scheduling between 8am and 9pm, 7 days per week
- Minimum commitment of approximately 4 hours per week

Remuneration
Doctors are paid a percentage of billings:
Typical appointment structure:
- Initial consultations: 30 minutes ($139)
- Follow-up consultations: 15 minutes ($99)
Indicative earnings:
- Initial consultations only:
- $166–181+ per hour
- Follow-up consultations only:
- $238–257+ per hour
Most doctors earn somewhere between these figures depending on their mix of initial and follow-up appointments. As patient relationships develop, the proportion of follow-up consultations generally increases.
About the Role
You will provide telehealth consultations to patients across Australia with chronic and treatment-resistant conditions.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive medical assessments via telehealth
- Reviewing previous treatments and medical history
- Assessing suitability for medicinal cannabis where appropriate
- Developing personalised management plans
- Prescribing and monitoring treatment where clinically indicated
- Providing ongoing follow-up care and review
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Collaborating with patients' regular GPs and healthcare teams
A key part of our model is communication and continuity of care. Patients receive detailed correspondence following appointments, and regular GPs are routinely kept informed through clinical letters.

About You
You will have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence using telehealth platforms and technology
- Commitment to patient-centred care
- Interest in chronic disease management and complex care
Previous medicinal cannabis prescribing experience is not required. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
