Full Job Description

About the Role

As a Pizza Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas to Slice Shoppe's standards while ensuring quality, consistency and speed throughout service.

You will work closely with the kitchen and FOH teams to keep service running efficiently, particularly during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, stretch, top and cook pizzas to a consistently high standard.
Follow Slice Shoppe recipes, portioning and presentation standards.
Prepare ingredients and complete daily kitchen prep.
Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service.
Monitor food quality and consistency throughout each shift.
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
Assist with stock rotation, storage and monitoring ingredient levels.
Minimise food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
Communicate effectively with other kitchen and FOH team members.
Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures.
Maintain equipment and report any maintenance or operational issues.
Support the wider kitchen team wherever required.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar fast-paced kitchen role.
Is confident with pizza preparation and cooking.
Can work quickly while maintaining quality and consistency.
Performs well under pressure and during busy services.
Has strong attention to detail.
Is reliable, organised and punctual.
Understands food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements.
Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively.
Takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food.
Is available to work evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: $29.00 – $33.00 per hour
