Campus Life is looking for a full-time Pizza Maker to join the team at one of the most popular outlets on Macquarie University's Wallumattagal Campus in North Ryde. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your love of the craft to a lively, community-focused environment where great food brings people together every day.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will create delicious stone-fired pizzas and play a part in developing exciting new menu items. If you enjoy the art of making high-quality, stone-fired pizza and take pride in the details, we would love to hear from you.
As our Pizza Maker, you will:
Prepare and cook high-quality stone-fired pizzas to a consistently excellent standard.
Contribute your ideas and skills to the creation and development of new menu items.
Maintain a high standard of presentation, cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and work areas.
Deliver friendly, attentive service that enhances the experience of every customer.
Follow all food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
Work as part of a busy, high-volume kitchen team to keep service running smoothly.
Please note this role requires availability across the following hours:
Monday to Friday (no weekends or public holidays)
12pm–8pm during University Session Time
10am–6pm during University Break Time

About You
You bring a genuine appreciation for the craft of stone-fired pizza and thrive in a busy kitchen where quality and service go hand in hand. You take care with presentation and hygiene, follow food safety practices closely, and enjoy being part of a team that creates great experiences for the campus community.
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience in the art of wood-fired or stone-fired pizza creation.
A minimum of two years' high-volume kitchen experience.
A record of quality customer service with careful attention to detail.
A high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (highly desirable).
Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly desirable).
*** The successful candidate will be required to complete a Police Check prior to commencing employment.
