Make an impact through strategic land management - Property Officer (Revenue & Land Management)

Are you looking to build your career in property within a dynamic local government environment? Join Banyule City Council and play a key role in delivering property outcomes that directly benefit the community.

As a Property Officer, you’ll support the delivery of revenue-generating initiatives across Council’s property portfolio, including road discontinuances and new land agreements. You’ll work across a diverse range of property matters while contributing to the effective management of Council’s assets and projects. You’ll also support broader property services and portfolio management, maintaining service quality while scaling revenue-related activities.

Support revenue opportunities across Council’s property portfolio, including land sales, licensing, and agreements

Assist with road discontinuance processes from assessment through to settlement

Investigate and manage encroachments on Council land and establish licensing arrangements

Provide administrative and coordination support for Council’s investment property

Contribute to property transactions including leases, licences, and agreements

Deliver high-quality customer service and respond to enquiries from the public and

Assist in property-related projects, ensuring timelines, documentation, and outcomes are achieved

What you'll bring/what we are looking for

You’re a motivated and detail-oriented property professional who enjoys working across a mix of technical, administrative, and customer-facing tasks. You will bring:

Experience or qualifications in a property-related field, ideally within local government

Knowledge of property transactions such as road discontinuances, encroachments, or leasing

Understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to apply it in practice

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality service outcomes

A fixed term (until 1 September 2028) full time role.

Salary from $83,324.29 to $96,497.25 per annum plus super, dependent on experience
