Community Housing Limited is seeking a Responsive Maintenance Officer to join our operational team. This role supports the delivery of high quality maintenance services and helps ensure CHL properties are safe, well maintained and responsive to customer needs.
This is a permanent full-time role based in our Blackburn Office. It offers a competitive salary, salary packaging and flexible working options.
What you’ll do
As the Responsive Maintenance Officer, you will work closely with the Responsive Maintenance Coordinator to support the management of CHL’s asset base, oversee responsive and vacated maintenance, liaise with contractors and consultants, and help ensure maintenance works are delivered safely, efficiently and to required standards.
Day to day, you will:

Provide advice and support in the management of CHL’s asset base.

Apply asset policies, procedures and standards consistently across maintenance activities.

Supervise and oversee responsive and vacated maintenance of properties.

Liaise and negotiate with internal teams, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

Participate in asset management projects and work assignments.

Undertake onsite maintenance work as required.

Work with contractors to ensure agreed service levels and KPIs are met.
What You’ll Bring

Green/White Card, or willingness and ability to obtain one.

Sound knowledge and application of WHS practices.

Experience coordinating maintenance, property, asset or contractor activities.

Ability to liaise confidently with contractors, consultants, internal teams and customers.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet service expectations.

Commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing.

A current Driver’s Licence.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including Police, Working with Children and NDIS checks where applicable. All pre-employment checks will be arranged during onboarding.
