PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Support strategy and optimisation through data analysis and portfolio-level modelling. This position ensures alignment with strategic goals and
creates performance and project progress reports, capturing PDM data for enterprise reporting. Additionally, the role will identify strategic insights
to drive efficiencies and continuously improve reporting processes and outputs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
Data Analysis
• Gathering and analysing data, using advanced statistical models, and support projects relating to data/reporting solutions.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as necessary to answer business questions and drive decisions.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to support the development and optimisation of portfolio strategies. Providing feedback to business
process owners and to the IT department to improve data integrity as required.
- Work with business requirements to identify and understand source data systems and identify solutions to data issues.
- Perform data quality and assurance reviews and checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Use data mining techniques to consolidate and analyse information from available data sources to support process optimisation and automation
modelling.
Reporting and monitoring
• Maintain standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards with insights, scorecards, and metrics that drive change in the business which are
tailored in level of detail for the appropriate stakeholders.
- Generate accurate data, forecasting, scheduling, and other financial reports, ensuring all PDM (Project Delivery Management) data is captured
and available for enterprise reporting.
- Supporting Program and Project Managers with data reporting needs, including the development and maintenance of project and program
dashboards. Ensuring key systems capture PDM data effectively for comprehensive enterprise reporting.
- Communicate to internal stakeholders through discussion, presentations, and write-ups of results, recommendations and meaningful insights
gained through data analysis to be used to develop strategic and operational plans.
- Seek out and define channels for capturing stakeholder feedback to strengthen relationships, improve data capture, and project reporting suite.
- Develop data presentation structures and artefacts (such as graphs, infographics, etc) to support the provision of data reporting to stakeholders.
Coaching and mentoring (data and reporting analyst AC3)
• Assist with orientation and on-the-job coaching to trainee team members.
- Provide advice, support and guidance to trainee team members in relation to processes, procedures and service standards.
- Provide support and coaching to team members and peers to ensure alignment with culture and values.
