Role: Early Childhood Teacher (VIT Fully Registered) – Early Intervention and Inclusion

Location: 21-25 Liquidamber Street, Doveton, 3177, VIC

Centre: Goodstart Doveton

Employment Type: Full-time, 2-Year Fixed-Term Contact.

Pay: $45.45 - $68.53 p/h (Depending on qualification & experience) + Super

We’re now looking for a passionate VIT Fully Registered Teacher to join our team at Goodstart Doveton in a specialised Early Intervention and Inclusion role .

As a VIT Fully Registered Teacher - Early Intervention and Inclusion Specialist, you will support the inclusion, learning, and development of children from birth–6 years with additional needs. Working closely with educators, you will implement inclusive practices, develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), collaborate with external professionals, and build educator capability through coaching and modelling with effective demonstration of teaching.

Success in this role will be achieved through strong collaboration with the centre leadership team and working together with educators, families, community organisations, Local Elders, community groups, schools including teachers and Principals, and other service providers. You must also champion respectful family partnerships and draw on both professional and lived experience to build inclusive learning communities. You will support the team to embed deeply connected principles of quality teaching, equity, social inclusion, and evidence-informed early intervention, you will provide expertise and leadership to embed adaptive, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches that honour each child’s communication style, sensory profile, learning preferences, and developmental pathway.

You will be at the core of our mission, supporting our centre teams to facilitate access and participation in ECEC and other local services to support better outcomes for children and families. Your work will help shape the future, ensuring every child gets the best start in life.

You’ll need:
Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)

VIT Full Teacher Registration (essential)

Qualifications in Special Education/Inclusive Education equivalent is desirable.
7-10 years in an inclusive education role
Strong knowledge of neurodiversity and inclusive education principles.
Experience working with children aged birth–6 with addition needs including trauma-related, behavioural, medical, and developmental needs.
