About the Role
As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, person-centred supports while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of Disability Support Workers.
Working closely with participants, families and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure supports are delivered safely, consistently, and in line with individual care plans. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive team culture, supporting day-to-day operations, and promoting positive outcomes for the participant.
This role is ideal for an experienced disability professional who is passionate about leadership, committed to quality care, and confident supporting participants with a range of support needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Daily Coordination
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of the house
- Overseeing presentation, cleanliness, damage reporting and medication management
- Keeping house folders updated and ensuring safety checks are completed
- Supporting client appointments
Team Leadership & Culture
- Fostering a positive, motivated, and client-focused team environment
- Leading team meetings and providing ongoing mentoring and guidance
- Thinking creatively, acting proactively, and maintaining a can-do attitude
- Supporting new staff through the Kanda induction checklist
Client Support & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicating openly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Attending meetings with Service Managers and providing valuable feedback
- Monitoring client behaviours and maintaining up-to-date safety planning
- Ensuring VisualCare compliance, accurate record keeping, and administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Valid Open or P2 driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience as a Team Leader in an SDA / SIL setting
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Experience supporting participants with complex health care needs
- Demonstrated experience with medication administration and incident reporting
- Strong communication, leadership, organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams
