Printing Machinist – Film Blowing Operations

Olympic Polymers is one of Australia’s leading recycled plastic resin and film manufacturers and is seeking an experienced Printing Machinist – Film Blowing Operations to join our growing production team.

This role is based in the film department of our recycling and manufacturing company. Film blowing experience is a must. The successful applicant must be able to identify different polymer types and carry out quality control checks on film material during production.

Your responsibilities

Set up film blowing and production machinery.
Operate industrial manufacturing equipment.
Monitor production quality.
Carry out quality control checks on film material.
Identify different polymer types used in production.
Monitor film appearance, consistency, contamination and general product performance.
Carry out machine adjustments.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Complete production documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Work safely within company procedures.
Assist on recycling lines when required.
Interpreting production specifications and work orders;
Monitoring raw material usage and minimising production waste;
Installing or changing dies, tooling or machine components during setup;
Ensuring machinery is configured to meet production specifications.

Skills required

Film blowing experience is essential.
Previous experience operating industrial production machinery.
Experience in plastics, film manufacturing, recycling or polymer processing.
Ability to identify different polymer types.
Strong attention to detail.
Mechanical problem-solving ability.
Team player.
Ability to work shifts.
Commitment to quality and safety.

Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 + Super

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year

Experience:

Printing Machinist: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
