About the role

Join the Penfolds Global Marketing team in Melbourne as the Global Marketing Strategy Manager. Reporting to the Head of Brand Strategy, Planning & Global Activations, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the world's most iconic and innovative luxury wine brands. You'll lead strategic initiatives across brand, media, innovation and portfolio planning, partnering with senior global stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities and drive marketing excellence.

Support the development and implementation of Penfolds' global brand strategy and annual brand plans.
Lead strategic initiatives that drive long-term brand growth and marketing effectiveness.
Develop and manage global media strategy and planning in partnership with regional teams and agency partners.
Translate consumer, category and market insights into actionable business strategies.
Drive portfolio and innovation strategy in collaboration with winemaking and NPD teams.
Evaluate campaign performance, ROI and impact.
Partner with senior stakeholders across marketing, commercial, finance and insights teams.
Lead strategic projects designed to drive brand growth.
Strengthen planning processes, governance frameworks, and ways of working across key marketing functions.

Who we’re looking for

We're seeking a commercially minded marketing brand strategist with a passion for building iconic brands and turning insight into action. You'll bring:

Extensive experience in brand, marketing, or portfolio strategy within a complex, consumer-led business.
A minimum of 7-10 years in marketing with 3+ years in brand strategy.
Proven success in developing long-term brand growth strategies and annual marketing plans.
Strong portfolio planning, budget management, and new product development (NPD) experience.
Experience translating consumer, market and commercial insights into strategic recommendations.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
Strong commercial acumen and a data-driven approach to decision making.
Experience leading complex projects from strategy development through implementation.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging senior leadership.
Experience within luxury categories across one or more of: premium consumer goods, wine & spirits, hospitality or related industries - highly regarded.
