About the Role

Coogee is seeking an experienced Production Shift Operator to join our Manufacturing team on a permanent full-time basis. This hands-on role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our production plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and monitor production plant equipment in accordance with procedures, standards and permit requirements.
Maintain product quality by following operating instructions and conducting routine process checks and inspections.
Identify, report and respond to plant, equipment and process abnormalities to minimise downtime and maintain safe operations.
Participate in safety activities including Toolbox Meetings, Take 5s, risk assessments and incident investigations.
Conduct routine housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, organised and safe workplace.
Perform loading, unloading and handling of raw materials and finished products using forklifts and mobile equipment.
Complete production records, logs and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Support maintenance activities including equipment isolation, preparation and return-to-service activities.
Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, reliability and productivity.

The Successful Candidate Will Be

Safety Focused – Demonstraing a strong commitment to safety, compliance and following procedures, with the ability to identify hazards and manage risks effectively.
Team Player & Communicator – Working well within a team environment, communicating clearly, supporting colleagues and contributing positively to workplace culture.
Mechanically Minded Problem Solver – Possessing practical mechanical aptitude, who can troubleshoot issues, identify abnormalities and make sound operational decisions.
Reliable & Adaptable – Self-motivated, dependable and able to manage changing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
Experienced in Relevant Industries– Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, mining, utilities or a similar industrial environment, with a forklift licence, mobile equipment experience and/or Process Plant Operations qualifications viewed favourably.
