Full Job Description

Madonna Electric is a neighbourhood pizzeria with a proper bar and a crowd that likes both their pizza and and drinks made well. We're looking for someone who can shake a tin, pour a wine, and make a table feel like they've landed somewhere special.

The bar is yours — but it's a not a hiding spot. When the floor needs you, you're there. We're a small team and the best teams help each other out and do what needs doing whatever that may be.

You should genuinely like food and flavour — the menu changes, specials move fast, and we need you to sell with conviction, not just read off a card. If you've got dietary restrictions that make tasting the menu and your drinks awkward, this probably isn't the right fit.

What we're looking for:

At least a year behind a bar — you know your way around cocktails and you are proud of what you do. You've got presence and charisma without trying too hard. You remember names. You can read a room. You can find a different gear when it gets a little hectic. And at the end of the night your bar is cleaner than when you started.

What you'll get:

Full time or Part time hours - depending on experience , a venue worth working in, more pizza than you'll know what to do with, and a team that backs each other. Plenty of room to grow for the right person.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

How many years have you been bartending, and in what types of venues? What’s your experience with cocktail making – classics vs. signature creations?
How confident are you with wine/beer/spirit knowledge?
You'll typically be finished your shift by 10:30pm Do you live locally or have reliable transport home at late hours?
Are you coffee trained/can you make coffee?
Tell us what great hospitality means to you?
What is you visa status? What are your employment imitations if any?
For the sake of clarity, we require someone here 5 nights per week. Thursday - Monday. Are you available all of those nights?
