Café Manager for Wholegreen's latest gluten-free bakery

Neutral Bay | Full Time | Artisan Gluten-Free Bakery

Our award-winning artisan gluten-free bakery has become a local favourite across five Sydney cafés. HACCP certified and accredited by Coeliac Australia, we handcraft premium sweet and savoury products daily using fresh, seasonal ingredients. But what truly sets us apart is the community we’ve built — loyal locals, beach-goers, families, and customers who finally feel they have somewhere they can trust.

We’re now looking for full-time Café Managers to lead our Neutral Bay location — someone who brings warmth, energy and pride to everything they do.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position with immediate commencement, in a high-volume takeaway café in the new Pienza building, Neutral Bay. Our customers pop in after school drop-offs, before pilates class and as a weekend destination for Coeliacs — and they return because they feel welcome.

You’ll set the tone each day: calm, organised, upbeat and focused on quality.

Who You Are

You have at least three years’ experience managing a café, restaurant or venue in Australia and understand that hospitality is about people first.

You:

Love building rapport with regulars and creating a positive team culture
Care deeply about product quality and consistency
Lead from the floor, supporting your team during busy rushes
Are confident in Australian specialty coffee standards — grinder adjustments, milk texturing (including alternative milks), latte art and maintaining recipe consistency
Take pride in clean, beautifully presented spaces

You’re as comfortable dialling in the grinder at 6:30am as you are organising rosters or managing stock levels.

Full Australian work rights (minimum two years unrestricted) are required.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading daily café operations with energy and focus
Supervising up to four staff per shift
Delivering exceptional coffee and food presentation
Maintaining food safety standards
Managing rosters and ordering
Understanding the weekly financial reports to reach your targets
Working weekends and public holidays (excluding Christmas Day & Boxing Day)

You’ll be supported by a senior manager during your transition, and you’ll be joining a team that genuinely enjoys working together.
