Employment Status: Permanent, full time
Days & Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, totalling 38 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 5 - $83,038 p.a. + 12% superannuation
Location: Council Office in Sandringham, with limited flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

The Team Leader Rostering Support Officers provides operational leadership to staff responsible for responding to telephone calls and a range of other routine administrative tasks to support effective rostering processes. This includes oversight of the rostering support officers, induction and training, documentation and communication of operational processes to achieve consistency of outcomes.

You will be responsible for:

Leading and supporting Rostering Support Officers (RSOs) to ensure effective workforce deployment and service delivery outcomes.
Building strong collaboration within and across the rostering team through establishment of effective rostering support processes and communication.
Training and inducting new staff.
Driving the provision of excellent customer service ensuring clients receive a positive experience in all their interactions with the service.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

Tertiary qualification in business management, social sciences, health or related discipline would be well regarded.
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing staff is mandatory and in a fast paced rostering environment is desirable.
Knowledge of aged and disability rostering software programs and experience of community care rostering processes would be well regarded.
Intermediate level in Microsoft Office use.
Ability to resolve issues through discussion and teamwork and to gain the cooperation of others in achieving outcomes.
Ability to document processes to maximise effectiveness and consistency of client outcomes and resource efficiency.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in driving a positive customer service culture.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
