Details: A career opportunity has arisen in ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) for an experienced, highly motivated and suitably qualified person, to fill the role of Senior Director, Programs and Clinical Interventions (HP6), within Offender Reintegration.

As the Senior Director Programs and Clinical Interventions, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of clinical services and program units across ACTCS. This includes responsibility for the implementation of ongoing service delivery that reflects contemporary best practice in all areas of Offender Reintegration, including in relation to high quality assessments, case planning and intervention.

In addition, you will provide strategic guidance and quality clinical oversight to develop the clinical and professional practice of Offender Reintegration that supports models of care, statutory obligations, professional development, education, research, clinical teaching, practice development and clinical supervision opportunities.

Further to this, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement by undertaking audits and advising on evidence based best practice with a focus on evaluation, research, and contemporary service design.

To be successful you will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also demonstrate strong leadership capability, expertise in delivering high quality clinical oversight and the ability to effectively engage others and deliver outcomes.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related health discipline are essential and relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience and/or willingness to work with offenders is essential.
Eligible persons may be required to undergo a National Police Check.
Current Driver’s Licence.
Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra
To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
