As an Administration Officer within the Liverpool/Fairfield community mental health service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service by providing high-quality administrative and customer support to consumers, families, carers and clinicians. This role involves reception duties, appointment scheduling, managing correspondence and medical records, coordinating meetings and supporting daily administrative functions that contribute to safe, efficient and person-centred care. You will work closely with a range of health professionals and administrative colleagues across both community and inpatient mental health settings, helping to create a welcoming and professional experience for everyone who interacts with the service.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with consumers, carers, clinicians and external stakeholders.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Confidence using computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new applications, including patient administration and scheduling systems.
A sound understanding of confidentiality, privacy and professional conduct within a healthcare setting.
Experience preparing correspondence, managing appointments, coordinating meetings and taking accurate meeting minutes.
Compassion, resilience and sensitivity when working with people experiencing mental health challenges and their families.
