Job Title: Painter & Decorator

Salary: AUD 80,000 - AUD 90,000 plus superannuation (depending on experience).

About Us: Magic Seal & Company Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based construction company specialising in painting, decorating, caulking and sealing services across residential, commercial and industrial projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship, safety and outstanding customer service.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our growing team. The successful applicant will perform a wide range of painting and decorating duties across residential and commercial projects while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting.
Apply paints, stains, varnishes and protective finishes.
Read and interpret plans and job specifications.
Calculate material requirements.
Estimate quantities of materials required for each project.
Match colours and prepare paint mixtures.
Protect surrounding surfaces during painting.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards.
Comply with workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience as a Painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
At least two years of relevant full-time work experience as a Painter & Decorator or equivalent.
Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Painting and Decorating) is desirable.
Thorough knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks and work in a physically demanding environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and ability to work at heights.
Current White Card.
The successful applicant will be required to complete reference checks and a National Police Check prior to employment.
