IT Desktop Support Engineer – Brisbane, Australia

Role: IT Desktop Support Engineer
Job Type: Onsite (Monday to Friday)
Duration: 18 Months (Extendable)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: AUD 66,000 per annum

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite desktop and technical support to end users.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests.
Support Microsoft Windows environments and Office 365 applications.
Perform device deployments, upgrades, refreshes, and asset management activities.
Handle incident and service requests through the ticketing system while meeting SLA requirements.
Coordinate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors for issue resolution.
Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and technical procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience in IT Desktop Support, Service Desk, or End-User Computing support.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory.
Experience with hardware troubleshooting, imaging, and deployment.
Familiarity with SCCM, Intune, or similar endpoint management tools is preferred.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in an onsite support environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Microsoft or other relevant IT certifications are advantageous.

Pay: $66,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Brisbane QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
