About the role

The Brisbane Corporate practice is seeking an experienced full time Legal Secretary to provide administrative support.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to be fully involved with the practice working on interesting matters, managing crucial team administration, handling client queries and managing the monthly billing process.

What does the role involve?

Providing high level administrative support to the practice area leader, partners and fee earners in the practice group – helping them do the best work they can
Managing confidential firm information and opening new matters
Diary management and travel management
Preparing documentation and correspondence
Managing the team's filing including electronic files
Input and maintain client data into client relationship software (Interaction)
Assisting with client queries and ad hoc reporting
Managing the monthly billing process
Assistance with business development activities

About you

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience supporting a partner in all facets of their practice area, ideally within the corporate area, however experience in other areas will be considered.

You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem solving skills and work well in a team. You should be able to work efficiently and use your initiative, as well as being proactive in your approach to tasks and showing exemplary attention to detail.

Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite 3E and InterAction is what we use).
