Mobile Speech Pathologist – Casual or Contractor Position (2–3 Days/Week)

Sydney (Hills District & Surrounds)

At Talking Blocks Speech Therapy, we are looking for a passionate, motivated Speech Pathologist to join our growing mobile team on either a casual employment or contractor basis for 2–3 days per week, with the opportunity to increase days as caseload builds.

This role is ideal for a Speechie who enjoys flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful relationships with families while still feeling supported by an experienced senior clinician.

About the Role

Mobile community-based role across schools, preschools, homes, and clinics within the Hills District and surrounding areas
Flexible caseload of approximately 4–5 clients per day (adjustable based on your preference and experience)
Opportunity to choose either:
Casual employment, or
Independent contractor arrangement
Competitive pay structure based on experience and employment type
Travel reimbursement provided between clients
Online software access for notes, planning, scheduling, and client information
Assessment resources provided
Ongoing support and mentoring from Senior Speech Pathologist/Director

Supervision & Support

We value clinician growth and aim to provide structured support, especially for early-career Speech Pathologists.

Week 1: Observe sessions conducted by Senior SP/Director
Week 2: Begin leading sessions with support and observation
Week 3 onwards: Independent service delivery with ongoing mentoring
Regular case discussions and supervision sessions
Collaborative and supportive team environment

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Speech Pathologist
Current Speech Pathology Australia membership
Professional indemnity insurance
WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Driver’s licence and own vehicle
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for family-centred and culturally responsive practice
Ability to work independently while remaining connected with a supportive team

Preferred (but not essential)

1+ year clinical experience
Experience working with children and families in community settings
