Cheffing / Professional Cooking experience required–Community & Disability Services

Casual Position | 12–20 Hours Per Week Initially

Are you an experienced chef or cook looking for a more rewarding and flexible role outside of a commercial kitchen?

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable chef or professional cook to join our team, supporting people with disability within their own homes. This unique position combines your culinary expertise with meaningful, person-centred care work that helps participants build independence and enjoy nutritious, home-cooked meals.

No previous disability experience is required. We are happy to provide training and support to the right person.

About the Role:

Working one-on-one with participants in their homes, you will:

Prepare healthy and enjoyable meals tailored to individual preferences and dietary requirements.
Assist participants to develop cooking and independent living skills.
Support grocery shopping and meal planning.
Encourage confidence, choice and independence.
Provide companionship and participate in community-based activities where appropriate.
No weekend work required.No weekend required.
Must be available to Tuesday to Thursday.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a chef or professional cook.
Enjoys working with people and making a positive difference.
Is reliable, patient and compassionate.
Holds a current driver’s licence and has access to a reliable vehicle.
Has or is willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate.
Is willing to undergo NDIS screening and complete disability-specific training (training support provided).
